The Reno is an absolutely adorable little makeup, pencil or storage pouch, with its cute rounded bottom and edges it's bound to bring a smile to your face. It's the perfect gift, fun to make, quick to whip up and so adorable!
The Reno is fully lined with a smooth interior, with rounded sides for a whimsical feel. When unzipped it stands fully open on it's own, allowing easy access to your things.
BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY
Due to the tight rounded sides I'm calling this an intermediate-advanced pattern. Experience with sewing curves is recommended.
MEASUREMENTS
Finished bag: ~8” (20cm) long x 4 ½” (12cm) high and 4” (10cm) wide.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
Fabric:
13” x 9” (33x23cm) - Exterior: Fabric for exterior, cork, faux leather, vinyl or cotton.
22” x 6” (56x15cm) - Accent Fabric: Cotton contrast fabric for exterior (sides and zipper panels).
18” x 22” (45x55cm) - Lining: A fat quarter cotton fabric.
Interfacing:
12” x 8” (31x21cm) - Foam interfacing: ByAnnie's Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex-Foam or similar.
18” x 22” (45x55cm) - Lightweight interfacing: Fusible interfacing for lining, like Vilene G700 woven fusible or Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex. This is to stabilize the zipper, sides and lining.
Notions:
1 - 12” (30cm) zipper (or longer) for closure: If you’re very uncomfortable replacing zipper pulls, choose an open ended zipper.
Wonder Clips.
Fabric Glue.
Rotary cutter, cutting mat & ruler.
